A community space for research, action, gatherings and practices which attend to the planetary polycrisis

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land we work and gather on; the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin Nation, and we pay respect to their Elders past and present.

The tradition of western knowledge-making has organised an understanding of the planet into neat categories; the Natural, the Technological, the Human. These categories have structured our institutions, disciplines, economies and governments, however, they are no longer sufficient for understanding the way the planet is today; as climate change reveals the entanglements between humans and nature, the urban and wild, technology and planetary systems.

The Watershed recognises this entangledness and offers a space for collectivity across discipline and practice. We invite work, research, experimentation, exhibition, education, conversation, mobilisation and action that is focused on evolving our ecological entanglements in the planetary polycrisis.
